I have to admit this semester has been difficult in every sense (emotionally, intellectually and in practice). However, I can say that learning English is always an interesting activity. Personally, I hope that someday my command of this language will be enough to keep a conversation with fluency, though my favourite part about managing English is to understand the message sent out from another person who speaks the language perfectly. For that reason, my closeness with English outside the class recently has been by way of Youtube. I enjoy watching videos about topics that I like. Usually I find amazing channels, but many of them are english, so it´s like a new challenge for me. Besides, recently I proposed to myself to read the manga version of my favourite anime series, Jojo's Bizarre Adventures, but in english. I don´t know, maybe that could be a funny way to get familiar with the language.
With respect to the use of blogs, it seems to me a very creative way to learn. Before take English´s courses in the university, I never considered this exercise as an good chance to improve your communication, vocabulary, composition, etc. On the other hand, somehow it is tender sharing experiences and views with your classmates haha. Nevertheless, I think that the English´s programme could integrate aspects like the phonetics and grammar´s review, because probably some students has been losing this knowledge with the passage of time, so checking out that details is never an useless action.
Finally, I have a lot of aspects to improve in my English, and the most important is pronunciation, because that has always been my weakness. Besides, I guess that a good pronunciation could help with the listening comprehension. Other aspects, such as vocabulary, could be improved thanks to the search for new words in the dictionary, and later use those words in sentences. And again, the vocabulary is maybe better with the reading comprehension, or I hope so.
And that's all, thanks for read this last blog post,
Have a nice end of the semester 💙
For pronunciation, it helps me to put subtitles to the videos that are already in english, so I can hear how the word is pronounced and how it is written... have a nice end of semester too , bye.
ResponderBorrarfor the pronunciation it only remains to practice and dare to speak
